Beverlee Beaz the Brown Burmese is about a cat that longs for adventure and has the imagination to back it up! On a lovely but otherwise ordinary day, she seeks excitement among the forests and fields surrounding her home, and lets her imagination run wild. Her adventure includes an encounter with a kangaroo (or rabbit), a komodo dragon (or frog), a run-in with a tree and an escape from an angry swarm of Pterodactyls (bees), and that's before Beverlee REALLY lets her imagination carry her away! This book has been in the works for a long time. I originally wrote a version of the story as a grade 6 school project (overseen by guest instructor and children’s author Emily Hearn)! At the time, it was a story about a Burmese cat having a "bad day adventure". I also did the illustrations. Speakers Corner Productions LLC, Orlando, FLA, is proud to announce a new project based on the life and activism of Elvy Musikka, one of four living recipients of Medical Marijuana from the US Federal Government.
This film is a grassroots effort to tell her story and educate the public. You can support them and read more about the project by visiting their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. Further resources:
